Dear all,

ICANN has launched a call for volunteers to an “Affirmation Review Team”:
http://www.icann.org/en/announcements/announcement-13jan10-en.htm

The Affirmation of Commitments (
http://www.icann.org/en/documents/affirmation-of-commitments-30sep09-en.htm) calls for a periodic review of four key ICANN objectives, namely:

Ensuring accountability, transparency and the interests of global Internet users;
Preserving security, stability and resiliency of the DNS;
Promoting competition, consumer trust and consumer choice;
Whois policy.

A review of each objective is supposed to be performed by volunteers from the ICANN community, representing ICANN’s Supporting Organisations and Advisory Committees.

The deadline for applications for the first review team (to deal with Accountability and Transparency issues) is the 17th February 2010. The applications need to be endorsed by the ccNSO.

The draft proposal on the organisation of the Affirmation review processes is at

Should you have any questions regarding this, please contact ICANN’s Organisational Review Director, Marco Lorenzoni marco.lorenzoni@icann.org

Kind regards,

Gabi
