Dear ccNSO Councillors,
The call for volunteers for a ccNSO appointed
liaison to the UASG closed yesterday, 16 March 2022, 23:59 UTC. The ccNSO secretariat is now initiating the selection process. As requested by the UASG leadership team, the ccNSO should appoint one
(1) representative. Councillors eligible to vote are now expected to make a selection. The deadline for submitting your vote is Tuesday, 22 March 2022 (23:59 UTC).
The two (2) candidates, in alphabetical order:
Qing Cai sent a short bio, which is enclosed. CNNIC mentioned that they propose a secondary candidate as well: Pengyu Zu. No bio was provided for the secondary candidate.
The UASG leadership team requested the ccNSO to appoint one
(1) representative, but no candidate qualification requirements were specified.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Please select your preferred candidate by sending an email to joke.braeken@icann.org , no later than Tuesday, 22 March 2022 (23:59 UTC).
Your most preferred candidate should receive two (2) points, the second and least preferred candidate one (1) point. If you believe a candidate does not meet the criteria: please assign zero (0) points.
A kind reminder that the ccNSO Secretariat will track and publish for each council member its participation in an election process.
Based on each of the individual Councillor’s rankings, the Secretariat will prepare the overall ranking of all candidates and report the ranking to the ccNSO Council on Wednesday, 23 March. The ccNSO Council chair will inform relevant ICANN
staff latest by Friday, 25 March COB of the ccNSO appointed member to the UASG.
