Subject: [ccnso-council] FW: NTIA Notice of Further Enquiry

Dear Councillors,

You will recall that I emailed you at the end of last week re the NTIA Notice of Further Enquiry (copy below for ease of reference).

The deadline given for responses is only 45 days after the publication, 29th July by my calculation. You will also recall that the timeline for ccNSO responses we looked at on our last Council call suggested that we need a minimum of 39 days to produce statements.

In the circumstances, I suggest that we should seek a Councillor to lead a drafting group and call for drafting group volunteers in advance of our meeting next week, so that we can confirm these appointments as soon as possible and therefore maximise the time that we have to produce a well-considered ccNSO response.

Please could you let me have your agreement/disagreement by return, plus indicate if you would be willing and able to volunteer to lead this drafting group.

Kind regards,

Lesley

Subject: NTIA Notice of Further Enquiry

Hi,

An IANA Functions Further Notice of Inquiry (FNOI) will be officially published in the Federal Register on Tuesday, June 14, 2011.  In order to facilitate access to the document, it is being made available through NTIA's website:

It is good to note the ccNSO response to the previous NOI referenced in this document, together with comments from individual ccTLDs.

Comments are requested within 45 days of the publication date and I hope that we will be able to start to develop our thinking on a further ccNSO response in Singapore.

Kind regards,

Lesley
