ccNSO welcome session & PTI Update

The ccNSO Chair Alejandra Reynoso, together with ccNSO Meetings Programme Committee (MPC) Chair Everton T. Rodrigues (.br) and local ccTLD Manager Thomas Keller (.de) will welcome the attendees to the ccNSO Members Meeting. Following the welcome remarks, Kim Davies and Marilia Hirano (PTI) will address the ccNSO regarding 3 topics: Firstly the caretaker operation designation for .LB, secondly the final implementation of the ccPDP3 retirement policy, and finally the yearly IANA customer satisfaction survey. ccNSO council Vice Chair Jordan Carter will report on the discussions from the ccNSO Council Workshop on Sunday, regarding the review of potential policy gaps in the ccTLD post-delegation processes.

The ccNSO and the ICANN Board will hold a joint meeting to discuss issues of common interest, including how to improve the process for amending the Bylaws, as well as ICANN and the Global Digital Compact (GDC) and WSIS+20.

In 2023, the ccNSO celebrates its 20th anniversary. In previous sessions, representatives from the ccTLD community have reflected on the evolution and key milestones in the history of the ccNSO. Read the pre-ICANN76 announcement by Council Chair Alejandra Reynoso here and the invite to submit anniversary videos here. Previous videos were displayed during the ICANN76 and ICANN77 ccNSO anniversary sessions. At ICANN78, the ccNSO 20th Anniversary Committee is organizing a "world cafe" to explore with ccTLD representatives what makes the ccNSO relevant to the community for the next 5-10 years. Part 2 of this session does not include remote participations and will be in person only. A follow up fully virtual session will be scheduled prior to ICANN79.
