NEW: Pre-ICANN75 Briefing for Policy Research and Stakeholder Programs


This document is the first iteration of the pre-ICANN meeting briefing by the Policy Research and Stakeholder Programs team. It provides status updates and progress reporting on the various community-facing projects supported by the team, including on policy implementation, Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) projects, and Universal Acceptance (UA), all in preparation for discussions during ICANN75.

NEW: SubPro ODP Team Offering Update Session to Community Groups


In addition to the anticipated session on the New gTLD SubPro ODP, the ICANN org SubPro ODP team is welcoming meetings with interested community groups. If any Supporting Organizations, Advisory Committees, stakeholder, or constituency groups would like to hear from the SubPro ODP team, please email subpro-odp@icann.org to schedule time with us.


Please be sure to include any specific topic areas for discussion or if you prefer a general update. In addition, we ask that you share a few date and time options so that we can schedule and prepare accordingly. We look forward to meeting you.


REMINDER: Pilot Holistic Review Draft Terms of Reference Briefings Available at ICANN75


The Public Comment proceeding on the Pilot Holistic Review Draft Terms of Reference opened on 30 August 2022 and will remain open until 20 October 2022. The ICANN org Reviews Support and Accountability team is available for meetings with interested community groups, to provide a 15-minute briefing on the Pilot Holistic Review Draft Terms of Reference Public Comment proceeding. Please contact rsa-coordinators@icann.org to schedule a briefing with your community group. Please include requested dates/times for your briefing.

REMINDER: NextGen@ICANN Program Selection Committee Nominations


The NextGen@ICANN Program is seeking nominations to fill 3-5 slots for selection committee members. Each SO/AC is asked to nominate candidates for these positions. Individual self-nominations will not be considered. Interested community groups should select their respective NextGen@ICANN volunteers by Friday, 16 September 2022. Interested community groups should select their respective volunteers and notify Deborah Escalera, deborah.escalera@icann.org. Each selection committee member will serve for a period of 2 years beginning with ICANN76. For program details please visit our page

REMINDER: Calling for NextGen@ICANN Applications for ICANN76


ICANN is calling for applications for the NextGen@ICANN program.


ICANN wants to hear from university students living and studying in the Latin America and Caribbean region who are interested in the future of the Internet and in participating in the ICANN76 Community Forum Meeting. ICANN76 is scheduled to be held in Cancún, Mexico from 11–16 March 2023. If ICANN76 is held virtually, the NextGen@ICANN program will also be held virtually. The NextGen application window will remain open until 24 October 2022. Successful candidates will be announced on 29 November 2022.
