Today the GNSO had their council call and Sally Costerton gave a short update on the topic of the Net Mundial. I thought I’d give a quick update to Councillors on this rather than wait till the next liaison written report.
Sparked by a question from John Berard relating to the ccTLD concerns on participation (raised at the recent ccNSO call)– Sally Costerton encouraged emphatically that registration is open to all with no restrictions. Sally re-iterated this several times also noting that at present there is no foreseen issues with capacity (around 900) and there will be a comprehensive remote participation system made available.

Sally also encouraged communities to take a look at the recent report from the Boston Consulting Group on economic impacts of e-friction and the risks of fragmentation. There are 65 country dashboards within the report.
