Greetings,
Thanks you both Chris and Mathieu for volunteering for these important roles. In conjunction with this, I also remind the community that Carolina volunteered
to be our point person on the Brazil meeting and that Patricio and Keith volunteered to be on the cross community working group. This was an outcome of our discussions in BA.
All of these disparate groups are focused on IG, but from differing perspectives and points of view. In order to try to keep some semblance of order and coordination
between all these inputs, we will also report back to the cc community at the next icann meeting.
To answer Domenico’s specific question below, it is not my sense that any resolution or specific process is required. In open discussion at the cc meeting
in BA most of the folks listed above “volunteered” to be our “eyes and ears” in all the various forums.
All the best,
Byron

Dear Mathieu,
We support you! Do you need a more formal statement for this support?
All the best,
Domenico

Dear Colleagues,
Thank you Chris for calling our attention on these complex committees and nominations. As you mention I have been tasked to monitor this, which I struggle to do due to the high volume. I am lucky that Pablo Hinojosa, from APNIC, produced a great summary of
the first 3 months :
http://fr.slideshare.net/lphinojosa/1net-discuss (10 slides)
With regards to Chris's message, I think it's worth mentioning that 3 parallel nominations are under way :
- the 1Net Steering Committee, tasked with steering the mailing list's discussions
- A "Brazil Multistakholder High Level Committee" which will set the "political ton and objective of the conference in Sao Paulo next April
- A "Multistakholder Executive Committee" which will be in charge of organizing the meeting in Brazil.
As Chris is volunteering for the 1Net steering Committee, I intend to apply for the "Brazil Multistakeholder High Level Committee". With your permission, I will underline my ability to represent our community, as well as the technical community. My past in
governement would certainly be useful as half of the participants of this groupe will come from governments.
Please feel free to contact me to provide any clarification or discuss these topics.
Best regards,
Mathieu Weill

Greetings,
Many of you will know that I have been involved with 1Net and the associated discussions since it's very early stages.
Currently there is a call by the 'technical community' for nominees for a 1Net steering committee (http://www.internetsociety.org/sites/default/files/Call1netBR-ForPublication.pdf).
I believe that the ccTLD community should have representation on the steering committee. I have discussed this briefly with Byron Holland (as Chair of ccNSO) and Mathieu Weill (tasked by the ccNSO council to keep up to speed with 1Net) and in the spirit of
openness and transparency wanted to let you all know that it is my intention to put my name forward as a representative of the ccTLD community specifically and the technical community generally.
As always, happy to discuss further either on or off lists and to provide any additional information if requested.
Cheers,
