Just to complement Hong, this was an experimental interactive session that was considered to be successful in the end. ICANN board and staff was well represented in this session and to each working group there was assigned a member of the board.
Some of suggestions (given in key words) coming out in the end of each working groups are below:
- Collateral
- Reach to non-specialized community
- Standard package of info in 6 languages
- Producing 3 versions of everything (ICANN version, a middle-ground version and overview version)\
- Events
- Leverage of existing communities
- Need to know other organizations
- Calendar of all events
- Statistical analysis of data for participation at ICANN
meetings
- Promote ICANN at other meetings
- Small regional ICANN meetings
- Digital Engagement
- Post relevant content
- Topically relevant content
- Self-identify (experts, novice etc)
- Topic-based constituency
- Accessibility and language
- Quality and quantity of interpretations
- Terminology
- Methodology
- How do we know outreach is working?
- How to measure it?
- Use existing and new tools
