Dear Fellow ccNSO Councilors,
As you are aware, the ccNSO Council is now preparing for our
annual election. On behalf of .us, I currently occupy the North America region
seat whose 3-year term is coming to a close. Both Byron Holland from CIRA (.ca)
and I have been nominated and seconded to stand for election.
Because the United States (.us), Puerto Rico (.pr) and the
U.S. Virgin Islands (.vi) currently hold the 3 North America region seats, we
feel strongly that it’s in the best interest of our region and the ccNSO
that Canada also have representation in our region and on the Council.
Therefore, in the spirit of cooperation, inclusion, and rotating
representation, I will step aside at the conclusion of my term so .ca can take
a seat and bring new energy, perspective, and expertise to the Council. I look
forward to working closely with Byron and fully support his candidacy.
I’d like to publicly thank Dotty and Oscar for my
nomination and second, and I look forward to returning to the Council on behalf
of .us in a future election cycle, continuing the tradition of rotation and inclusion.
I have enjoyed working with all of you over the last 2+
years and look forward to continued engagement on the many important issues
facing ccTLD operators.
See you in Cairo!
Regards,
Keith Drazek
