Recently, the GAC turned to the community leaders, with a request to ask their respective community to deliver input to a draft document, developed by the GAC sub-group on Geographic Names (which is a sub-group of the GAC Working Group on Future New gTLDs) for future New gTLD rounds, outlining several public policy aspects related to geographic names. The document is available at http://tinyurl.com/kzt8kbg. A previous version of this draft was presented in a public session during the London ICANN/GAC meetings and a similar session is planned for the October ICANN/GAC meetings in Los Angeles.

The ccNSO Council decided to turn to the ccNSO Representatives to the Cross-Community Working Group on Use of Country/Territory Names as TLDs, to ask you to consider to draft an input to this document (see Decision on Request for Input 51-2104 at http://ccnso.icann.org/about/council/decisions.htm).

On behalf of the Council, I would be grateful if you could review the document and consider whether it would be useful to provide input.

If so, I would be grateful if any draft could be submitted to the Council by the 27 October, so that it would have a few days to review it.
