I haven’t not read ToR carefully but I listened the webinar on Aug,21 when it was presented an my impression was the same as Jordan’s – it improved

Given the previous comments from ccNSO Council and importance of the Holistic Review I believe we should submit a comment – even if it would be only ‘Thanks to drafting team, good job, we are happy with it’

I’m happy to participate. We can probably catch up in Hamburg and draft some text.

My quick read suggests this is much improved and I don’t know that we need to do a statement in response.

If we do need to do a statement, I’ll particpate as much as possible, but it won’t be a priority piece of work for me.

Dear all,

As indicated in yesterday’s email on ICANN’s public comment forum on the second version of the Terms of Reference for the pilot Holistic Pilot has opened (https://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/proceeding/pilot-holistic-review-revised-terms-of-reference-tor-28-09-2023). As next step you are asked to decide whether to initiate the ccNSO Council Statement process ( see section 3 and 4 in https://ccnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/filefield_47783/guidelines-statements-30mar16-en.pdf ). Under the assumption you have no objection, I want to suggest that the drafting team of statement on first ToR, will again prepare the draft. Members were: Tatiana, Irina, Alejandra, Chris, Jordan, Pablo Sean and Stephen.

Decision – The ccNSO Council initiates the ccNSO Council Statement as provided in the relevant Guideline (https://ccnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/filefield_47783/guidelines-statements-30mar16-en.pdf) to provide input on the second draft Terms of Reference for the pilot Holistic Review. Closing date of comment period is 27 November 2023.

If you have any questions or object please respond to this email by Thursday 5 October 2023.
