Dear all,
ICANN invites the community to attend one of two webinars being held to discuss the Public Comment on short-term
options and long-term
options on the timeline of ICANN Reviews. The presentation will be identical for both one-hour webinars, scheduled as follows:
Announcement:
https://www.icann.org/news/announcement-2018-05-30-en
Webinar Agenda:
To participate, please request a calendar invitation by sending an email to mssi-secretariat@icann.org and
indicate which webinar you will join. If you do not indicate a preference you will receive invites for both webinars.
The timing of Specific and Organizational Reviews mandated by the Bylaws has resulted in multiple reviews occurring at the same time. Currently, there are eleven Organizational and Specific Reviews underway. This is
in addition to policy development work and other work across the ICANN community, resulting in strain on both volunteer and ICANN resources.
Based on discussions with and feedback from the ICANN community, the ICANN organization analyzed options for both short and long-term approaches to solve the challenges associated with multiple reviews occurring at
the same time and volunteer strain. Subsequently, ICANN org published two public comments to invite feedback on short-term
[icann.org] and long-term
[icann.org] options to address the workload of the volunteer community and impact on ICANN resources.
Best regards,
Joke Braeken
