I would like to make the following suggestions:
Where Becky say “... selected by the ccNSO…” this is replaced by “… selected by the ccTLD community…” This may be slightly more effortful but it will be more inclusive, and the ccNSO will already have a nominee in th AC/SO group.
APTLD is also considering the following:
Under Principles, we believe Multi-Lingual should be as much an explicit principle as the others.
Under Principles, we don’t understand what ‘Do No Harm’ is doing there. Perhaps someone on the council could explain.
Under Mechanism, we would like an explicit inclusion of engagement with existing community gatherings
Under Mechanism, we would like an explicit inclusion of traditional and new media.
We also believe that the scoping document doesn’t include the critical decisions around the allocation of the contract for the provision of the IANA functions, including its allocation and operational criteria.
We also don’t understand why ISOC is one of the directly affected parties (particularly when TLD operators are not).
