Greetings Ron,

I have learned within the hour that Dotty is OK, as is Linda.  Her house is apparently mostly intact based on a long-range observation via binoculars made by Linda from Frenchtown.  There appears to be debris either on the roof or between the main structure and the office, but the roof appears to be intact, but no doubt damaged.  Cell service is very spotty (ATT only at this point apparently), and there is essentially no power.  As bad as the damage you have no doubt seen from the photos of Charlotte Amalie, Dawna heard from friends on-island that the north side of the island is in much worse shape.  The roads leading into Four Corners are all extensively blocked by debris so she cannot apparently get to her house to see first hand what the situation is.  I presume you know that the hospital lost its roof and has been abandoned?

FYI, Dawna is in the process of evacuating her house

and re-locating to her son’s Condo which is about 20 miles from her and a much more substantial structure.

Best,

/Stephen

PS: I seem to be having issues posting to the ccNSO lists of late, FYI.

 Hi, everyone

Loesje and I wrote to many friends in the VI, Including Dotty and .VI personnel, wishing them safely through the storm.

We had one response prior to Irma hitting STT.

We have received no news since.

I will post as soon as we hear anything,

Ron
