Congratulations Chris!

This is a well-merited and timely appointment - my sincere congratulations.
Future boards will be greatly enhanced by your presence.

There will come a time when I can more completely and publicly thank you for the huge service you have provided the ccTLD community as ccNSO chair, but for now, note your leadership in this community since at least the days of the ccnso Launch Group in 2003, and your role since 2004 as the Chair of the ccNSO Council.
The board will benefit greatly from your long experience of ICANN related issues.

my best regards

Dear all,

The nomination period for a ccNSO representative to the ICANN Board ended last week. The only nominee was Chris Disspain, who accepted the nomination. This means that no election by the ccNSO members is necessary. The ccNSO Council now needs to formally adopt the result of the nomination process to select the representative in accordance with the ICANN bylaws. This will be done at the next Council meeting on the 19 October 2010.

The nomination report is available at http://www.ccnso.icann.org/announcements/announcement-11oct10-en.htm

Congratulations to Chris, who will take seat on the ICANN Board after the ICANN meeting in June 2011.
