This is to inform you about the conclusion and outcome of the selection process for
one volunteer (1) to serve as mentor in
ICANN org’s Fellowship Program and one volunteer (1) to serve on the Fellowship Program Selection Committee.
The selection process closed 15 January at 23:59 UTC.
In the table below (see also in attachment), you will be able to find an overview of the ballot numbers, their date of receipt and the order of preference as listed by the individual council members.
We have noted down Margarita’s abstention for the selection of the Fellowship Selection Committee member. Participation of councilors in selection processes is tracked here:

The candidate receiving most supportive votes for one of the aforementioned roles, is selected. The ccNSO Secretariat will inform relevant ICANN staff of the selection of
the candidates, and will inform and thank all candidates.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Selection Process
After closure of the call for volunteers, the materials submitted will be sent to the ccNSO Councillors eligible to select the
members for the roles of Fellowship Selection Committee member, and for the role of Fellowship Mentor. Based on each of the individual Councillor’s rankings, the Secretariat
will prepare the overall ranking of all candidates and report the ranking to the ccNSO Council on Monday, 18 January 2021. The ccNSO Secretariat will inform relevant ICANN staff latest on Friday, 22 January 2021 of the ccNSO appointed members.
Candidate qualification requirements
Further to the skillset included below, ccNSO candidates are expected to have the support of a ccTLD manager (whether members or non-member of the ccNSO).
Fellowship Program Mentors:

Mentors generally must plan on a time commitment of approximately 30-40 hours before, during, and immediately after each ICANN Public Meeting. This includes extensive pre-meeting preparation, on-site support
for their assigned fellows, and post-meeting reporting.

Each mentor will serve a term that includes three consecutive ICANN Public Meetings, beginning with ICANN72.
·
Mentors are expected to follow Fellowship Program guidelines
[icann.org] to help ensure consistency in capacity development opportunities for fellows and to help fellows actively participate in ICANN's work.

Mentors will receive travel funding support (if applicable).

Fellowship Program Selection Committee:

Members should plan on a time commitment of approximately 30-40 hours over four to five weeks for each Public Meeting.
·
Selection Committee members will typically serve for two years, which encompasses six Public Meetings.
·
Work for this role will begin in April 2021 to select fellows for ICANN72.
