I'm seeking your feedback on the next steps regarding Council’s appointment of a co-chair to the second IANA Functions Review Team.
In May 2023, Council appointed three volunteers (3) to serve on the second IANA Functions Review Team: Peter Koch, Olga Cavalli and Sami Ali. As part of the appointment process, the Bylaws provide for the ccNSO and GNSO to each select one representative from its respective list of appointments to serve as co-chairs of the review team. All 3 candidates expressed their availability to act as co-chairs, and their commitment is highly appreciated. Since Peter was already part of first IFRT on behalf of the ccNSO, he would be an excellent co-chair, while recognizing the skill sets of the other appointees. Unless you have any objections by
next week Wednesday, 30 August (23:59 UTC), I will ask the Secretariat to send a resolution to the Council mailing list, to formalize Peter’s appointment as IFRT2 co-chair.
