As you know Sunday 11 March the Council work shop Is scheduled from 10 am until noon (Tienda room).

The agenda for the work-shop is:
1. Review and update of work plan
Included is an overview of the current main activities of the council and membership.  This overview is based on the work plan the council adopted at the San Francisco meeting. Suggested topics are:

• Are the area’s of activities still relevant or should they change
• Proposed new set of activities: ccTLD related ICANN activties and Board ICANN staff requests
• Overview of current and anticipated activities. Are they captured adequately?
• What are the priorities, if any?
  

Please note the chairs of the working groups have been invited as well

2. Review and update of Council Roles and repsonsibilities
Included is draft overview.
To date The following issues have been identified:

• Issue: continuity of role and responsibility during holiday breaks: Proposal appoint additional councillor as back-up.
• New Tasks: Coordination ccNSO-GNSO Council lunches and Monitoring requests input Board and Staff
• ISSUE/Question Is there a need to strengthen liaison with Regional Organisations? How does it relate to  role of observers?
• Review of assigned tasks
  

3. Chair and vice chair election
Discussion on changing scheme of appointing chair and vice- chair every year.
