Appointment member to WS2 CCC

For decision: formal appointment member to the Work Stream 2 Community Coordination Group  

During its January meeting, Council requested the GRC to seek a volunteer to the WS2 CCC.

Draft Resolution

Following a call for volunteers among members of the ccNSO Guidelines Review Committee (GRC), the ccNSO Council approves membership to the Work Stream 2 Community Coordination Group for David McAuley (.cc). The secretariat is requested to take all necessary steps to include him as a member of the WS2 CCC and to inform relevant staff.

Background

The community’s implementation work on those Cross Community Working Group on Enhancing ICANN Accountability (CCWG-Accountability) Work Stream 2 (WS2) recommendations that are directed at the community will require implementation by and within individual community groups, as well as a collective focus to address a few specific items that require coordination and collaboration across the community. As individual community structures continue to consider and address the recommendations applicable to each group from the CCWG-Accountability, the WS2 Community Coordination Group is intended to serve as a forum to exchange best practices, lessons learned, as well as for sharing information and progress. The name of the representative and alternate should be sent to ICANN staff by no later than Friday, 11 February 2022.  The community coordination group is expected to meet for the first time before ICANN73.
