Dear all,
As a follow up to today’s CWG-ISTP call…
The Naming Functions Agreement, which is being developed as part of the IANA Transition implementation, contained a number of references that caused concern within the ccTLD community. Becky Burr has proposed remedial
language to address these concerns which is reflected in the attached document. This was discussed on the ISTP call today. A revision of this agreement has just been circulated for public comment (see the schedule below). Becky has agreed to review the new
draft and to advise us if, in her view, these ccTLD concerns have been adequately addressed.
10 August: Public comment period begins
11 August: CWG meeting
18 August: CWG meeting
25 August: CWG meeting
1 September: CWG meeting
9 September: Public comment period ends
16 September: Staff analysis report and final Agreement posted

A recording of the call is available and will be posted on the website. There will be another call in two weeks, a Doodle will be sent our shortly.
Thank you and kind regards,
Kim Carlson
