This is to inform you about the elections for the position of one (1) ccNSO Council member for the Asia/Australia/Pacific
region. Two candidates have been nominated, seconded, and accepted their nominations in line with the established rules and timeline. Consequently, an election will be held among the Emissaries of the Asia/Australia/Pacific Region: Your vote is crucial to
ensure your region's representation—don't miss this opportunity!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Each eligible Emissary from the Asia/Australia/Pacific region will receive one ballot.

Email reminders will be sent to those who have not yet voted.
Once your vote is submitted, it cannot be changed. Voting
is anonymous.
Please select one preferred candidate by choosing only one option. If you believe none of the candidates are suitable,
you may submit your vote without selecting any option.
According to the guideline, a quorum is reached when the majority of eligible Emissaries in the Geographic Region vote.
The ccNSO currently counts 58 members from the Asia/Australia/Pacific region, corresponding to 57 Territories, and therefor 57 Emissaries.
The candidate who receives the majority of votes cast by Emissaries from the region will be selected. The winner is the
candidate with the most votes. If there is a tie, a run-off election will be held between the tied candidates.
The Election Report, which includes the results of the election and possible observations by the Election Process Manager, will be sent to the ccNSO Council for adoption. Council's adoption of the Report will formally close the process. New Council terms will
commence at the end of ICANN85 in March 2026.

REFERENCES
The ccNSO Council consists of 18 Councillors, representing 5 ICANN geographical regions. Each region has 3 Councillors,
with 15 elected by ccNSO members within their respective regions and 3 appointed by the ICANN Nominating Committee.
As per the October 2022 Rules of
the ccNSO, the Emissary is the Representative selected by the ccTLD Manager in accordance with Section 10.4(e) of the ICANN Bylaws for the purpose of voting in the specific cases enumerated in Article 10 & Annex B of the ICANN Bylaws and the Internal Rules
and Internal Procedures of the ccNSO.
