This is a reminder that you are cordially invited to attend the next meeting of the ccNSO Internet Governance Liaison Committee (IGLC), held on
Wednesday, 8 May 2024 at 12:00 UTC. This session aims to inform ccTLDs globally and other interested stakeholders about the
African Union Data Policy Framework.
IGLC is proud to welcome Ms
Sadia Rizvi as guest speaker, to speak about the African Union Data Policy Framework. Ms Rizvi is an Associate at PPM Attorneys, specialised in information and communications technology
law, intellectual property law, media law, data privacy, and compliance. PPM Attorneys – based in Johannesburg, South Africa – is a boutique commercial law firm that provides a wide range of legal services focusing on information and communications technology
(ICT), marketing and advertising and infrastructure related to these sectors.
The second half of this one-hour session will focus on IGLC actions in relation to the World Summit on the Information Society 20 Year Review (WSIS+20) and IGLC session planning for ICANN80.

ABOUT IGLC | The IGLC has been established to coordinate, facilitate, and increase the participation of ccTLD managers in discussions
and processes pertaining to Internet Governance. Membership of the Committee is open to all ccTLD managers (whether members of the ccNSO or not). Currently, the committee counts approximately 30 members from ccTLDs all over the world.

ABOUT IGLC’S FOCUS ON AFRICA SESSIONS | The 8 May 2024 IGLC meeting will be the second opportunity for the IGLC to focus on Africa and
explore issues of relevance to ccTLDs from the region and potentially ccTLDs globally. During the 3 April 2024 meeting, IGLC welcomed Khodani Sengwane (Faculty of Law, Pretoria University) as a guest speaker on the topic of “Digital Tax from the perspective
of Africa”.
