Dear all,

As you may have noted from the agenda, Jens Pétur Jensen (.is) one of the two ccNSO appointed members on the  CSC effectiveness Review Team has informed the RT he had to step immediately for personal reasons. Hence the ccNSO has only one appointee on the RT (Maarten Simon) and the Council is requested to find a replacement as soon as possible, as the Review Team has started its substantial work.

If agreed to find a replacement, there are two approaches:

1. Send out a call for volunteers to community. This will take at least a few weeks (call open for two weeks and if more than one candidate, Council selection. Please note that when Council send out the previous call for volunteers to seek members of the RT only two candidates (Maarten and Jens Pétur) responded, and only after an extension of the call.
2. Council appoints member from the Councillors or actively seek a person who may be interested.

Taking into account the experience of the previous call for volunteers and also the need to appoint a new member rather sooner than later, Council is advised to go for the second option.
