NEW: ICANN Appoints Vice President of Government and IGO Engagement for APAC

Samiran Gupta rejoined ICANN on 3 October 2023 as Vice President, Government and Intergovernmental Organization (IGO) Engagement for the APAC region, and Stakeholder Engagement South Asia.

🔥 ACTION ITEM: NextGen@ICANN Mentor Program Nominations

The NextGen@ICANN Program seeks nominations for the 2024 Mentor Program. This appointment will serve for the ICANN79, ICANN80, and ICANN81 meetings.

Nominations must be submitted no later than Friday, 1 November 2023.

The community-nominated mentor will be responsible for overseeing the mentor process. Communities may choose to appoint program alumni and are encouraged to appoint active community members who have an interest in mentoring students.

Guidelines for the program can be found here. Interested community groups should select their respective volunteers and notify Deborah Escalera, deborah.escalera@icann.org.

🔥 ACTION ITEM: Call for Nominations: ICANN Academy 2024 Leadership Program

From 9 October – 15 November 2023, ICANN has issued a call for nominations for the 2024 Leadership Program, scheduled for 29 February –1 March in San Juan, Puerto Rico, just prior to the ICANN79 Public Meeting.
