Hi Gabbi (et.al)

I am writing this short note to float an idea with you all and seek some early feedback....

As the Council knows  I served on the GNSO WG (as well as contributed to the ALAC specific Comments) that made representations on the proposed Metrics that should be collected /facilitated for collection by ICANN that may (or indeed should) be considered  for use and review by this RT.  So I have a vested interested in this topic and the work,  I also note that there was a *very low* amount of interest form the ccNSO on this matter during these processes... So I suspect there may be an equally low interest from our community in holding and making effective contributions  to the demands of serving on the RT.

To this end (and recognizing I served  on the 1st ATRT so I know what I'm in for here)  I would like to propose that when I put in my Application for Consideration as Volunteer Member for the RT; I do so as  Board Member of auDA ( noting I also hold particular Consumer Trust, Choice and Metrics Interests in Australia and thus my c.c. to Chris and Paul ;-) and offer to act (should I be selected and endorsed) for the ccNSO...

Please let me know  what you think of this proposal. Noting that with the 2 phase approach to the program  this does not effect or is influenced by my presumed to be confirmed role of NomCom Chair for 2014, and that I, as of the end of this year, should not be continuing my service to the ccNSO Council as Liaison to the ALAC, but do wish to continue with my ongoing involvement with the ccNSO WG/WT's activities  etc.,)...
