The selection process closes tomorrow Friday, 9 September (17 UTC), or sooner in case all councilors completed their rankings.

The call for one (1) volunteer to serve on the 2023 ICANN Nominating Committee (NomCom) on behalf of the ccNSO closed on Friday, 2 September 2022 23:59 UTC. The ccNSO secretariat is now initiating the selection process.  Councillors eligible to vote are now expected to make a selection.  The deadline for submitting your vote is Friday, 9 September 2022 (17 UTC).  After 17 UTC that day, the ccNSO Secretariat will inform Council about the outcome of the selection process. A formal appointment will happen via an online decision (12-14 September).

A kind reminder that the ccNSO Secretariat will track and publish for each council member its participation in an election process. Based on each of the individual Councillor’s rankings, the Secretariat will prepare the overall ranking of all candidates and report the ranking to the ccNSO Council after closure of the selection process.  The appointment that same day during the April 2022 Council meeting. The ccNSO Secretariat will then inform relevant ICANN staff about the selection.

Selection Process

 

Based on each of the individual Councillor’s rankings, the Secretariat will prepare the overall ranking of all candidates and report the ranking to the ccNSO Councilon 12 September. The ccNSO Secretariat will inform relevant ICANN staff about the outcome of the selection for the ccNSO appointed member.

 

Candidate qualification requirements

 

ccNSO candidates are expected to have the support of a ccTLD manager (whether members or non-member of the ccNSO).  The ccNSO appointed NomCom delegate will be selected based on how well they meet the candidate requirements: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs), as listed here: https://ccnso.icann.org/en/announcements/announcement-29mar22-en.htm [ccnso.icann.org]
