Dear All,
This email invites you to join the
ICANN74 ccNSO Governance Session, held on
Wednesday, 15 June 2022, starting at 08:30 UTC. It also provides you with information on the topic highlights, and useful instructions on how to participate in the live polling during the session.
ccNSO Governance Session: Topic Highlights
The focus of this session will be on ccNSO Statement of Interest (SOI) and Conflict of Interest (COI) processes. Based on feedback from this session, the subteam of the ccNSO Guidelines Review Committee will develop
proposals for consideration by the ccNSO Council and ccNSO membership. Session Chair Sean Copeland (.vi) will be joined by several speakers, including David McAuley (Verisign, .cc), Byron Holland (.ca), Biyi Oladipo (.ng), Chris Disspain (Donuts, .as) and
Nick Wenban-Smith (.uk).
In addition, there will be a discussion on the
impact on existing rules and operating procedures on the inclusion of IDN ccTLD managers as members of the ccNSO. On 2 June 2022, the most recent version of the ICANN Bylaws was published.
Consequently, amendments to Article 10, on the ccNSO, and
Annex B, on the ccNSO Policy Development Process, became effective. The amendments were needed to enable interested
Internationalised Domain Name (IDN) country code top-level domain (ccTLD) Managers to become members of the ccNSO.
