I'm also puzzled by 'competitive root within a privatised and competitive DNS", which reminds me of "alternative root" and ICANN's ICP.

Hi,

I am a bit concerned about deviating too much from the text we presented to the ccNSO yesterday. Particularly, I do not recall us having discussed a 'competitive root within a privatised and competitive DNS' nor the danger of 'fracturing due to rushing to solutions'/'ICANN not having to provide absolute answers'.

Kind regards,
Lesley

I like the structure and tone, but wonder if 6) could be worded a little
more assertively, and that some of the other asides might be worth
capturing also. I have worked a rough redraft attached, and wonder if
this might be smoothed for style and language and incorporated into the
statement.

Cheers
