Nadia Sokolova from the Universal Acceptance Project has provided following update on the state of their work and is also inviting those of you interested to join their session in Toronto:

Some recent activities on the project include: 

–Collecting input from various ICANN stakeholders (TLD registry operators, end users)
–Preparing and translating technical recommendations
–Identifying possible organizations to work on improving the TLD verification libraries
–Identifying specific events for the outreach campaign 

The working session on Universal Acceptance is scheduled for Wednesday, 17 October 2012, 10.00-11.00 in Harbour C. The objectives of the session are:

–Discuss existing acceptability issues and possible solutions (which may differ by region)
–Discuss ways to minimize acceptability issues in the future
–Collect feedback from participants on how to enhance the outreach campaign
