I am writing to you in my capacity as Chair of the OISC.
Recently the ccNSO Council forwarded some GRC suggestions to the OISC.
The suggestion was to reflect on the virtual nature of
meetings and the possible role of the OISC with respect to ccNSO meetings, and,
if deemed necessary, suggest changes to the meeting Guideline. The OISC
discussed the suggestions and although the OISC recognizes that the ccNSO
meeting guideline could indeed be further refined, the OISC is of the view that
it has no role in the ccNSO meetings: this is first and foremost the role of
the MPC and Tech WG. The OISC therefore suggests that updates to the ccNSO
Meeting Guideline is within the remit of the MPC with respect to the members meetings and the Tech WG with respect
to Tech Day.
