Draft Travel Funding Document
Dear Councillors, During the last council call, the Processes WG received following action: Action 33-04: The Processes Working Group to define questions on the travel funding and submit to the Council in time for the next Council call. The Working Group actually managed to go one step further than the action required and instead of drafting questions, it drafted a suggestion on how to allocate the Travel Funding. This paper is attached. Please, note that this is just a draft and the group is looking forward to your input. Gabi
Dear all, As discussed yesterday, I am resending the draft travel Funding Document. If you have comments, please send them to the secretariat. It would be most helpful if we receive them before Wednesday 22 October, noon UTC. We will then consolidate all comments for discussion by the processing working group. The goal is to present and take a decision on the travel fund procedure at the Council meeting in Cairo, in order to have a process in place for the ICANN meeting in Mexico. Thanks, kind regards, Bart ------ Forwarded Message From: Gabriella Schittek <gabriella.schittek@icann.org> Date: Mon, 13 Oct 2008 04:46:15 -0700 To: <ccnso-council@icann.org> Subject: [ccnso-council] Draft Travel Funding Document Dear Councillors, During the last council call, the Processes WG received following action: Action 33-04: The Processes Working Group to define questions on the travel funding and submit to the Council in time for the next Council call. Hi, Thanks for the work on this, the draft looks fine to me, but I would suggest adding the appeal timescale to the timing section - which will probably mean that the call for expressions of interest and the final decision timescales might need to move a bit in order to allow for an appeal and a decision on the appeal. Alternatively, we could either rule out an appeal by saying the decision of the committee will be final or say that any successful appeals are funded for the following meeting.
