Dear all, Following people were nominated and seconded in the ccNSO Council nomination process: African Region: Souleymane Oumtanaga, .ci Asia Pacific Region: Hiro Hotta, .jp and Hong Xue (undefined affiliation) European Region: Ondrej Filip, .cz and Roelof Meijer, .nl Latin American Region: Victor Abboud, .ec and Demi Getschko, .br North American Region: Dotty Sparks de Blanc, .vi (see archives at http://forum.icann.org/lists/ccnso-nominations/) All candidates, except Demi Getschko have accepted their nominations. This means that there will be elections held in the Asia-Pacific and European region. A warm welcome to the Councillors for the African, Latin American and North American region: Souleyman Oumtanaga, Victor Abboud and Dotty Sparks de Blanc! Their term will begin directly after the ICANN meeting in March 2011. The timeline for the elections in the Asia-Pacific and European region is as follows: 5 October: Publication of list of electorate; campaign period opens 12 October: Campaign period closes; ballots issues to members of voting electorate 26 October: Voting closes 28 October: Announcement of results by Election manager; Election manager submits Election report More information on the elections will follow closer to the start of the election period.
