SECIR Conference Call #1 Summary The newly established ccNSO working group "Secure Email Communication for cccTLD Incident Response" (SECIR) held its first conference call on Tue Aug 5. The major topic was a first discussion on potential models for the two SECIR services, a contact repository service and a rudimentary secure messaging service. In line with the SECIR charter, we reaffirmed that usability and technical simplicity are the most important requirements. We will be using the time until the next call (Aug 20) to document these models and to prepare a first overview of existing software components that we might be able use to realize the SECIR services for these models. The group members also elected Cristian Hesselman (.nl) as the WG chair.
