ICANN has opened a public comment period for the annual review of the IDN ccTLD Fast Track Process ((https://www.icann.org/public-comments/idn-cctld-fast-track-2015-01-15-en ), asking the community for feedback in the process . The input received will be used to determine appropriate updates to the current version of the Final Implementation Plan of the IDN ccTLD Fast Track Process and for the proposed IDN ccTLD policy, which is currently under consideration.

To assist ccTLDs with an interest in the IDN ccTLD Fast Track Process and interested in providing feedback, the ccNSO Council decided to set up an Ad-hoc Group to review the Fast Track Process (RIFT) in order to facilitate individual ccTLD feedback or directly provide input.

The ccNSO is now looking for volunteers to join this Ad-hoc Review Group.

As the comment period closes on 24 Feb 2015, the work of this group needs to kick off as soon as possible. I would therefore be grateful if you could let me know in case you are interested in joining it by Thursday, 29 January.

The RIFTP may as part of its activities take a position and provide input to the public comments forum and liaise with ICANN or other Supporting Organisations, Advisory Working Group¹s or Technical Community on its own behalf, without implying a position from the ccNSO or the ccNSO Council. Membership is open to any ccTLD managers (non-ccNSO members are also welcome!) interested in the IDN Fast Track Process.

Giovanni Seppia, .eu has been proposed as preliminary Chair - however the first task of the group will be to nominate a chair, to be confirmed by the Council.
