FW: [Ext] Phishing attempts
Dear All, I am forwarding you the email below, sent by Peter Van Roste (CENTR), notifying us of recent phishing attempts. It is good practice to be cautious when opening attachments or clicking links from senders you do not recognize or look misleading. Best regards, Joke Braeken joke.braeken@icann.org<mailto:joke.braeken@icann.org> From: Peter Van Roste <peter@centr.org> Date: Monday, 21 February 2022 at 11:26 To: "' (tech@centrlists.org)'" <tech@centrlists.org> Cc: Joke Braeken <joke.braeken@icann.org>, "securitywg@centrlists.org" <securitywg@centrlists.org> Subject: [Ext] Phishing attempts Hi Everyone, Scammers are recycling old emails from several lists in an attempt to start conversations. We blocked several attempts to send these phishing emails via the lists, but now they send them to individuals. They impersonate a participant from the CENTR Tech WG list, the ccNSO Members list or the TLD-OPS list. (and maybe others) They probably gained access to someone’s email archive and recycle old conversations. If you are subscribed to these three lists, you might want to verify and increase the security of your email archives.
