Status update and final reminder: call for nominations for ccNSO Council positions closes 22 October
Dear ccNSO members, This is a final reminder regarding the ongoing call for nominations for five positions (one per region) on the ccNSO Council. The current three-year terms for five Council members will conclude in March 2025. The nomination and secondment procedure closes on Tuesday, 22 October 2024 (23:59 UTC). To date, at least one candidate has been nominated and seconded in accordance with the rules for each of the five regions. Asia-Pacific and Latin America/Caribbean have more than one nominee, however not all required secondings have been received yet. Any ccNSO member, through its representative, may nominate a candidate for the ccNSO Council to represent their geographical region. To be valid, a nomination must be seconded by another ccNSO member from a different territory within the same region. In the case of self-nominations, the ccNSO guidelines require that the nomination be seconded by two ccNSO members from the same region.
