Greetings, I hate to beat the drum here again (you got enough of that in my earlier paper post), but we have a responsibility to get the Board Seat 11 election wrapped up and delivered to the Empowered Community Administration by 22-April-2020. This was my calculated date, and it also appears to be our able Secretariat’s calculated date as well. Speaking with my ECA Hat on, and since “I hold the pen” within the ECA, obviously anything that comes the ECA’s way on that date (hopefully before!) will be forwarded to the ICANN Secretary (almost) immediately. But I wish to make the Council aware that if we dally with this Board Seat 11 process, and do not present a nominee to the ECA prior to 22-April-2020, then we set ourselves (and ICANN) up for a whole host of craziness, but I will cite just one bit: If we don’t put forward a nominee for Board Seat 11 by 22-April-2020, it is not at all clear that we will be able to fill the seat after that date. The Bylaws are silent on the issue of “lateness”. I really do not want to go and explore what might happen should the ccNSO NOT deliver a successor to Chris for Seat 11 by 22-April-1020.
