ccNSO proposals for cross-community topics: ICANN59
Dear all, Preparing for ICANN59, Johannesburg Following your input, the ccNSO Meetings Programme Working Group, together with the ccNSO secretariat, have submitted the following proposals for cross-community topics to ICANN staff and the SO/AC leaders that are part of the ICANN59 planning committee: 1. GDPR: the most important change in data privacy regulation in over 20 years 2. Who sets ICANN's priorities? 3. Rejection Action Petitions: is the Empowered Community able to exercise its rights under the ICANN bylaws? 4. Operational side of ICANN's OPS Plan and Budget 5. Tech Day - part of the Tech Day sessions are suitable for a cross-community approach (potentially on "DNS Security", the final agenda will be available closer to the meeting) An overview of all proposals submitted to date can be found here: https://icann.wufoo.com/reports/icann59-topic-proposals/ The ICANN59 planning committee will discuss the submissions and topic selection and the ccNSO Secretariat will keep you informed on which topics have made it to the final selection. The ccNSO aims to offer a relevant programme for its members and the broader ccTLD community at the upcoming Policy Forum at ICANN59. Looking back at ICANN58, Copenhagen The ccNSO programme working group, during its call on 6 April, evaluated the feedback received from the community regarding ICANN58. A document entitled “feedback-on-feedback” aims to evaluate the community feedback received regarding the ccNSO Members meeting in Copenhagen, and provides the feedback from the ccNSO Meetings Programme Working Group in response. Feedback on the ICANN58 ccNSO Members Meeting in Copenhagen was collected via two channels: via an online meeting satisfaction survey (26 responses. Results: https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-8B252ZPG/ ) and via 16 face-to-face interviews with ccTLD community members.
