And I did undertake to update Council on the WCIT session in the main room yesterday. The panel spent more time discussing IGF engagement than WCIT, and the biggest IGF issue seems to be to define what is meant by "enhanced cooperation" On WCIT, noted that there are 3 further regional preparatory meetings, 6 - 8 August Bangkok, 11 - 14 Sept El Salvador and 25 - 26 Sept Ghana (I think). The draft text for the ITR treaty is now 270+ pages, and while the word "Internet" is not specified, some submissions on ICT, Information Exchange Points, IP addressing, Peering and Transit are clearly referencing IP packet movements. So the session was only a little interesting, and I hope our ccNSO panel discussion will build substantially on this.
