Joint SO/AC/SG Leaders' Statement on the IANA Globalization Progress?
Dear Council Members, In order to set the stage for a positive, constructive community dialogue in Singapore, it has been proposed that the AC/SO leadership, as well as other key actors (see list below), issue a joint statement welcoming the announcement by the NTIA. Please advise within the next 24 hours if you object to me signing or have any specific concerns. I'm happy with the statement. Young-eum, I think council's approval should carry sufficient support, and we don't have to have the entire ccNSO community's blessing for this one. I'm cognizant of time limitations. I support the statement as well. Initially I had a similar concern to Young-eum's, but given that language of the statement is very much in line with the current work and discussions at the ccNSO, I believe the council approval would be sufficient.
