Joint ccNSO application from .be, .de, .it, .lt, .si and .hr
Dear Councillors, We received a "joint" application from .be (Belgium), .de (Germany), . it (Italy), .lt (Lithuania), .si (Slovenia) and .hr (Croatia) today - see attached. Formally, we still need to receive the individual applications from .be, .it, .lt, .si and .hr (I will keep them informed if I don't receive them within this week). It is good to see this joint effort from Europe to support and join the ccNSO, we have indeed come a long long way, forward. However, we need to make sure that ccNSO procedures and processes are followed for each application. A joint application from one basket of ccTLDs seems to depart from these processes. I hence expect to see an application from each "sovereign" ccTLD in the basket to be submitted in the normal ccNSO application format. I would, therefore, like to support the application from .de, once it has been checked against IANA, as normally required. Paulos, All individual applications received so far have been forwarded to IANA to be checked. The Council will be notified whether they are in order. Regarding the format - the format these applications have been submitted in follows the format that we used prior to the change to online applications only. As you may recall, we agreed that in cases where ccTLDs wish to submit applications that are signed, they would be allowed to do so. Clearly, these ccTLDs prefer this version. I therefore see no need to ask these ccTLDs to once again fill in the online application forms.
