Dear all, ICANN has published a lot of new material on various issues lately, which I'm summarising in this one email, in order to avoid exploiting the email lists too much: * ICANN Accountability Reviewers publish Project Plan: The panel that is reviewing ICANN's accountability structures, ASEP (Accountability Structures Expert Panel) has published a project plan: http://www.icann.org/en/news/in-focus/accountability/asep/project-plan-24se p12-en.pdf. ASEP will also be holding a session at the ICANN meeting in Toronto. * ATRT paper published on community consultation: An Accountability and Transparency Review Team (ATRT) document has been published, identifying items that are subject to community consultation prior to Board consideration, and which do not require community consultation: http://www.icann.org/en/news/announcements/announcement-4-24sep12-en.htm * Advice sought on how to improve Community Input outside Public comment Process: The community members are asked to give their input on ways to improve the process by which the ICANN Board seeks advice from the ICANN community beyond the traditional public comment process: http://www.icann.org/en/news/public-comment/input-advice-function-24sep12-e n.htm Public comments are welcome until 14 November 2012. * Input sough on TLD Procedure to Develop and Maintain the Label Generation Rules for the Root Zone in Respect of IDNA Labels The IDN Variant TLD Programme includes a project to establish the Label Generation Rules (LGR) Process for the DNS Root Zone. Input on the proposed Procedure to Develop and Maintain the Label Generation Rules for the Root Zone in Respect of IDNA Labels is now sought: http://www.icann.org/en/news/public-comment/lgr-procedure-24sep12-en.htm Comments are welcome until 19 October 2012. * RAA Updated Amendments: Two documents have been posted reflecting the current status of the Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) negotiations: http://www.icann.org/en/news/announcements/announcement-5-24sep12-en.htm * Trademark Clearinghouse: The Trademark Clearinghouse is a protection mechanism that is built into the New gTLD Programme. Community members are asked to give their input on two documents dealing with the procedures to be used by the Clearinghouse to verify proof of use associated with a trademark where requested and of how a "match" is determined between a trademark record and a domain name, for purposes of the sunrise and claims processes: http://www.icann.org/en/news/announcements/announcement-7-24sep12-en.htm Public comments are welcome until 7 November 2012 * Webinar on Uniform Rapid Suspension: ICANN will host a webinar on 3 October 2012, 15:00 UTC on the Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS) system.
