The program facilitates in-person participation of community members with children 12 years or younger at ICANN Public Meetings and eligible ICANN events. The deadline to apply for the ICANN76 grant is Friday, 13 January 2023 at 23:59 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The application is available here. Read more. Information Sharing NEW: ICANN Contracted Parties Set to Vote on RDAP Amendments On 19 January 2023, contracted parties will begin voting on the proposed 2023 Global Amendments to the Base Generic Top-level Domain (gTLD) Registry Agreement (RA) and 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA). This voting period is an important and decisive step in our commitment to the Internet community to improve the WHOIS system by updating the underlying technology with the more secure and capable Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP). NEW: Apply Now for ICANN and PTI Leadership Positions The Nominating Committee (NomCom) of ICANN is accepting applications for key leadership positions within ICANN's Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees, the ICANN Board of Directors, and the Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) Board of Directors. NEW: Coalition for Digital Africa to Launch Study of Continent’s DNS Landscape The Coalition for Digital Africa is conducting an in-depth study of the African Domain Name System (DNS) landscape aimed at creating a comprehensive picture of the industry. The study, commissioned by ICANN and conducted by PowerSoft Africa, is the fifth major initiative to be deployed under the auspices of the Coalition for Digital Africa. All of the projects are aimed at expanding the Internet infrastructure in Africa. Read more. NEW: ICANN and UA Steering Group Announce Inaugural UA Day and Call for Proposals The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG) are calling for event proposals for the inaugural Universal Acceptance (UA) Day to be held on 28 March 2023. Organized by the volunteer-led UASG and supported by ICANN, UA Day will be an opportunity to rally local, regional, and global communities and organizations to spread UA awareness and to encourage UA adoption with key stakeholders. There will be a total of seven mentors and seven Selection Committee members, and each group is welcome to nominate one individual for each role.
