Dear Councillors, Following closure of the call for volunteers for three (3) volunteers to the 2nd IANA Functions Review Team, the ccNSO secretariat is now initiating a selection processes. The Councillors eligible to vote are now expected to make their selections. Your action is required by Wednesday, 17 May 2023 (noon UTC). After reviewing the enclosed application materials and comparing them with the candidate qualification requirements as included in the call for volunteers, please select your preferred candidate by responding to the survey circulated via email, no later than Wednesday, 17 May 2023 (noon UTC). Kindly let me know if you need to abstain. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS. ccNSO is seeking volunteers who wish to serve as a member on the second IFR team. The composition of the IFRT foresees three (3) representatives who are associated with ccTLD managers, to be appointed by the ccNSO Council. Representatives need not be associated with a ccNSO member. As part of the appointment process, the Bylaws provide for the ccNSO and GNSO to each select one representative from its respective list of appointments to serve as co-chairs of the review team. NEXT STEPS. Following closure of the selection process, the ccNSO Secretariat will inform Council about the outcome of the selection processes, in an anonymized manner. Secretariat will also update the vote tracker. Formal appointment of the selected candidates will happen during the ccNSO Council meeting on 18 May. The ccNSO Secretariat will then inform all applicants and relevant ICANN staff about the selection.
