Jordan Carters Report to ccNSO Council 20 November: CCWG-IG (Item 3) * the WG is still in formation in the sense that not all SO Co-Chairs have been appointed as far as we know * the community’s attention is on the IANA stewardship transition and related accountability debates, rather than on broader IG * there has been some discussion of the Wuzhen conference in China; the Plenipot; and the NetMundial initiative * the co-chairs have yet to meet to discuss forming a work programme but I anticipate that should be happening in the next couple of weeks * my desire is to see this WG being a centre of IG information and discussion for the ICANN community, and crucially to bring the community and staff into closer alignment on IG issues through dialogue and conversation in that forum. * I will test that idea with other participants as we build the plan. I would welcome and indeed NEED views from the ccNSO Council as to whether this approach is supported, or not. Charter standing ccNSO Committee on IG (Item 4) * Happy with the Charter and happy to be on it - and coping with the idea of chairing it as long as it is understood these will be at times other than 12--5am New Zealand time. ICANN accountability (Item 6.1-6.3) * I would love to be involved with the ICANN Accountability process in whatever manner serves the community best - as a member or otherwise.
