Hi Sue,
Let me try to close the loop on the session you penciled in for Sunday at 9 am, the meeting between the RySG and ccNSO.
First, it was not clear who from the ccNSO the RySG would like to meet: ccNSO Council leadership (3-5 people), Council (14-18 people) or membership attending ICANN85(over 100 people). Leadership is easiest, and this could be done probably but also as a call prior to ICANN85. Council is more difficult, as some will arrive Sunday or have to attend other meetings. As to membership, this was reason to propose the joint session in the ccNSO room, which will have enough capacity.
Second, as Claudia may have told you, the Saturdays and Sundays are packed with working group meetings. I assume leadership and some Council members will be available, but some may prioritize ccNSO working group/Committee meetings.
As EMS closes shortly, and the number of available rooms on Sunday is limited, I suggest that we try to organize leaderships call prior to ICANN85, maybe including leadership of the respective DNS groups as well.
Kind regards,
Bart

Hi Sue, all,
Do you think the full CPH needs to attend the community outreach session on DNS Abuse? The ccNSO-RySG proposed session is on same theme. If some of the members of the RySG DNS Abuse Group could participate in the ccNSO session. I think goals of both the CPH outreach and ccNSO/RySG session will be achieved.
Kind regards,
Bart

Hi Bart,
I reached out to Claudia when we were requesting sessions for ICANN 84, and I requested a session with the RySG and ccNSO on Sunday at 9 am. We still have time to move that session if that will not work on your end, but the Wednesday slot right after lunch is where the CPH is holding their community outreach session on DNS Abuse.
Have a great day!
Sue

Dear Beth,
First following Alejandra’s lead (although belated): Best for 2026!
Following your email the ccNSO Council and DASC (ccNSO DNS Abuse group) started an extensive discussion if and how to participate in the upcoming DNS Abuse PDPs. The Council will finalize discussions next week.
In parallel with these discussions, the ccNSO started looking at a way to engage the broader ccTLD community in the discussion around the PDPs and expand the relation with the RySG. The suggestion is to have a joint RySG – ccNSO session on Wednesday block 3 (directly after lunch).
Goals of the session are
- First, explain to the PDP, topics and why ccNSO participates and how,
- Discuss the topics more in depth and ask ccTLD and gTLD to share experiences and get a sense of the room how important it the issues are for them and if and how they already deal with the issues.
- How ccTLDs and gTLDs could share their experience going forward.
From a cc perspective the session will be interesting because of potential future spill-over effects.
Please let this group know if such a session would work from your perspective,
Kind. Regards,
Bart

Hello,
I hope your travel home from ICANN was smooth. After our discussions at ICANN, I wanted to follow up to try to establish a plan for collaboration between our groups on the DNS Abuse PDPs. Soon Council will have an updated Issues Report and Charter that reflects the Public Comments. It would be great to have some collaboration set up as those discussions get started.
We are happy to set up a dedicated email list as well as meetings with our RySG DNS Abuse Working Group (and hopefully the joint CPH DNS Abuse Group) and your dedicated DNS Abuse Working Groups or teams. Please let us know what will work best for you and your group and we’ll get started!
Looking forward to working together throughout the PDP processes.
Best,
Beth
