*Session Details:* The concept of core Internet values has long been a cornerstone of the Internet’s architecture. However, with rapid technological advancements, evolving governance models, and shifting geopolitical dynamics, these values must be re-examined to remain relevant in today’s environment.

This session will explore how potential adjustments to core Internet values could impact ICANN’s remit and mission. We aim to discuss the balance between preserving foundational principles and adapting to emerging realities, leveraging insights from technology, governance, and geopolitical trends, as well as ICANN’s operational experience. The panel will identify necessary changes, their implications for ICANN, and strategies to address these challenges while upholding its core purpose.
