Subject: Help Welcome Newcomers in the ccNSO – Be a ccNSO Buddy!

Dear all,

The ccNSO is launching a Buddy System to support new volunteers as they attend meetings and begin participating in our work. We're reaching out to invite experienced, enthusiastic, and approachable volunteers to become buddies!

🌟 Why This Matters

Becoming involved in a new group can be intimidating. With your help, we can:

• Ease the transition for newcomers
• Reduce uncertainty around participation
• Build community and belonging
• Encourage early, confident engagement in ccNSO work

👥 Who Makes a Great Buddy?

We're looking for volunteers who are:

• Positive, welcoming, and approachable
• Familiar with how the ccNSO operates day to day
• Aware of the challenges newcomers face
• Willing to dedicate some time to support and guide others

🕒 Time Commitment

• Light onboarding as a buddy
• Support your match over 2–4 weeks ( including 2–3 meetings)
• Stay in touch, answer questions, and attend a few meetings together
