Feedback Overview policies, practices relevant for ccTLDs
Apologies for cross posting Dear all, As part of its mandate the ccNSO policy gap analysis working group has developed an overview of various policies, policy related advisories and interpretation, and practices that may be relevant for ccTLDs. In addition, mechanisms are included that may support a ccTLD in structuring its relationship with ICANN. The purpose of this effort is to provide a single point of entry to look for the documentation of those policies etc. As stated during the session at ICANN81 in Istanbul, the working group is now looking for your feedback and input, if any, before finalizing the overview and making it publicly available on the ccNSO website. The document is available in 3 formats (pdf<https://community.icann.org/download/attachments/404258873/Community%20Feedb...>, google doc<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DphHC_w_Vu0Q1ZptHEMm7hIPG-0QbtGA/edit> and word<https://community.icann.org/download/attachments/404258873/Community%20Feedb...> ) to assist you in reviewing it and to provide comments, if any. If you have any comments or feed-back, please reply to this email or to ccnsosecretariat@icann.org<mailto:ccnsosecretariat@icann.org> by 17 January 2024. Thank you, and kind regards, Bart Boswinkel ccNSO secretariat
Bart, this is a very reasonable outline. Thanks to all involved. It is clear to me that the “caretaker” issue needs a PDP. While I am fine with the way the IFO has handled the .LB absconding of the ccTLD Manager from a technical perspective, it does matter to me whether a ccTLD manager disappears or is disappeared. Interestingly this is the very issue we discussed in Chris Disspain’s hypothetical at the Wellington ICANN meetings many years ago. el -- Sent from my iPhone On Nov 27, 2024 at 15:55 +0200, Bart Boswinkel via Ccnso-members <ccnso-members@icann.org>, wrote:
