While there might be various causes behind that, I believe it is high time I as a member of the technical part of the regional community could help the Council and session organizers reach out to my counterparts across the region; promote my and others' experience by contributing to ICANN readout sessions; keep my colleagues in the Arab world abreast of recent industry developments by attending, whether remotely or in person, ccNSO sessions, ICANN ME DNS Forums, and other industry events; and share my experience with those ccNSO members (and non-members in particular) willing to engage in information exchnage and best practices transfer. I hold the engineered degree in electronics and communications engineering from a Karnataka, India state university(VTU) in India. My qualifications are: B.E (Electronics and communications); RHCE, CCDA . I have worked for more than 9 years in the industry focusing on data and storage networks. I currently work as a Domain Name Systems engineer at the Qatar ccTLD registry in charge of maintaining the DNS infrastructure on the systems and internet applications such as BIND, mail servers, operating systems, and the hardware infrastructure. I am also one of key actors in the upcoming deployment of DNSSEC in Qatar. Recently, I have played a major role in redesigning and revamping the local Domains Registry system. I am also a certified redhat and CISCO engineer. I also find face to face, when held, with other communities are also very valuable. I participate in the following working groups; Guidelines Review Committee, ccNSO Meetings Programme Standing Committee, Policy Development Process Retirement Working Group, as well as the ccNSO Strategic and Operational Planning Standing Committee. I would be very interested in any working groups that may revolve around blockchain in the future - I do have a designation from the CIO organization and may be of some value given the presentations in Kobe and some of the suggested material in Morocco.
